Birthday Decoration at Home in Mumbai - Flats, Terraces & Surprises

Which Is the Best Birthday Decoration Service in Mumbai?

The one that shows you the full price before you pay, sends a trained decorator to your door and builds the design you picked. Giftlaya does all three, which is what makes it the best birthday decoration service in Mumbai for busy families. You choose a design and a slot online, and our decorator arrives with every balloon, foil, light and stand, sets it all up in your flat and carries the packing away when the job is done.

In Mumbai, prices start from ₹1,499, and that covers everything from the balloons to the decorator's local travel. Most designs need just two to three hours' notice.

Birthday Decoration Cost in Mumbai

What your budget buys in Mumbai:

• ₹1,499 to ₹2,500: a bedroom surprise with balloons on the bed and ceiling, a rose gold room with the name in foil, black and gold, or a small cartoon setup.
• ₹2,500 to ₹5,000: room surprises with heart or champagne foils, princess, astronaut and Baby Shark themes, and the chrome cabana.
• ₹5,000 to ₹10,000: ring backdrops with a neon sign and cake table, the cricket theme, Barbie, LOL and other custom-printed backdrops.
• ₹10,000 and above: sequin walls, terrace setups and the largest themed builds.

On top of the design price, you pay only a small convenience fee at checkout, which covers the online payment. The decorator's visit is never charged.

Planning a Terrace Birthday in Mumbai

If your building lets residents use the terrace, it makes a memorable birthday venue, especially from November to February, when Mumbai evenings are cool and dry. Giftlaya's terrace designs stand on their own frames, so they do not need a wall. Take the society committee's permission first, and tell us how to reach the terrace, by lift or up the last flight of stairs.

Two details matter up there. Terraces often have no plug point, so arrange an extension cord from the lift room or the nearest flat for the neon sign and lights. And if your terrace faces the sea, as many do in Bandra, Worli and Juhu, the evening breeze can be strong, so place the backdrop against the parapet or the water tank wall rather than out in the open. From June to September, bring the party indoors.

A Midnight Birthday Surprise in a Mumbai Flat

Take the last slot of the day, 9 PM to 11 PM, and keep the birthday person out for an hour or so while our decorator works. When you bring them home, switch off the main lights before the door opens, and let a lamp, or the design's own neon sign and fairy lights, reveal the balloons as they walk in.

In Mumbai, the neighbours are rarely more than a wall away, and most societies expect quiet after 10 PM. Keep the midnight cheer soft, and save the music for the weekend party.

Why Mumbai Families Book Giftlaya for Birthdays

• Decorators who do this daily. Birthday setups are routine for our team, so the balloons are evenly sized, the wires stay hidden and the backdrop stands straight.
• A call before the day. Our decorator rings to agree the colours, the name and the age, so the only surprise is the one you planned.
• The price you see is the price you pay. Balloons, foils, stands, lights, travel and setup are all included.
• Gentle on rented flats. Everything is held up with paper tape, so there are no holes or glue marks for the landlord to find.
• Help after the setup. If something is not right, report it within two hours and our team will sort it out.

Birthday Decoration Today: Same-Day Slots in Mumbai

Most days, a same-day booking works if you order two to three hours ahead of your slot. We work from 9 AM to 11 PM in two-hour slots, stretching to three hours for the biggest setups. A few dates need more planning. On Ganpati visarjan days, roads towards Girgaon Chowpatty, Juhu and Lalbaug are closed or packed for hours, and on New Year's Eve the traffic around Marine Drive and Bandstand builds from early evening. Book a morning slot on those days, or have us decorate the day before.

Birthday Decorators Near You, From Colaba to Dahisar

We decorate across the city and suburbs. Along the Western line, that includes Colaba, Churchgate, Marine Lines, Grant Road, Dadar, Mahim, Bandra, Khar, Santacruz, Vile Parle, Andheri, Jogeshwari, Goregaon, Malad, Kandivali, Borivali and Dahisar. On the Central side, we cover Byculla, Parel, Sion, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Kanjurmarg, Bhandup and Mulund, and on the Harbour side, Wadala, Chembur and Govandi. Powai, Lokhandwala and Worli are on our list too. Put the building name, wing and flat number in your order, plus a landmark.

Getting the Flat Ready

Pick the wall they will see first and slide the sofa or bed away from it. Our decorator works from a chair, or from a ladder where the ceiling is over ten feet high, and the lights will need a nearby socket or an extension cord. For a hotel room, the hotel has to agree before we can decorate.

A typical flat takes 60 to 90 minutes; sequin, terrace and hall setups need longer. Afterwards the balloons are yours, and we come back the next day for the rented frames and props. Take the paper tape off gently, warming any stubborn strip with a hair dryer.
