How Long Do Gerberas Last, and How Do I Keep Them Fresh?

Seven to ten days with the right water, longer than most roses. Gerbera stems are hollow and drink from the bottom, so cut them at an angle, stand them in a few centimetres of clean water rather than a full vase, and change that water every day; deep or dirty water is what makes the heads droop. Keep the vase out of direct sun and away from fruit, and if a stem bends, recut it and stand it straight in fresh water for an hour.
