Units, Vihars and Nagars: Writing a Bhubaneswar Address

Bhubaneswar addresses follow the city's plan. In the older planned areas, give the Unit number, such as Unit 3 or Unit 9, with your plot or quarter number. In the vihars and nagars, such as Jaydev Vihar, Acharya Vihar, Saheed Nagar or Kharvel Nagar, write the plot number and the nearest landmark. For the towers in Patia, Chandrasekharpur and Khandagiri, add the tower and flat number, and tell the security desk that a Giftlaya decorator is coming.

Ekoisia, Annaprasana and Cyclone Season

An Ekoisia, the ceremony on a baby's twenty-first day, and an annaprasana are two of the happiest family days in an Odia home. We decorate around the baby's seat or cradle with soft pastel balloons and a board with the baby's name, and keep the front clear for the rituals. Share the muhurta when you book, and pick a slot that ends an hour before it.

Odisha's coast sees cyclone warnings in April and May and again in October and November. If one is issued for your date, our team will call to agree a safer time for the setup.

Keep a clear wall, a chair for our decorator, or a ladder for a ceiling above ten feet, and a plug point or extension cord close to the wall; if it is a hotel room, the hotel must agree first. We send one decorator for most homes and two for a hall; the work takes 45 to 90 minutes. If a colour is out of stock, you get a call before work begins. The balloons stay with you, and the rented props are collected the next day.

Pick your design, date and slot, and check out online with the full amount or a 50% advance for a home setup. You can add cakes or flowers to the same order, and WhatsApp us a photo of the room if you would like help picking a design.
