Dohale Jevan Swing Decoration

Dohale Jevan is the Maharashtrian baby shower, held in the seventh month of pregnancy. "Dohale" refers to the mom-to-be's cravings and "jevan" means meal: she is seated on a flower-dressed swing in a green saree and green bangles, the family performs the oti bharne, and she is served the foods she has been craving along with five or seven sweets. The decoration is built around the swing and the seat.

Our full swing setups cost ₹12,999 for the fresh-flower design with a dressed swing and floral backdrop, and ₹14,999 to ₹16,999 for the designs that bring a decorated swing frame with them. Every price includes the flowers, the swing dressing or frame, the backdrop, the decorator's visit, the setup and the clean-up. Both. If your family or the hall has a jhula, the decorator dresses it with flower strings, an arch or canopy of mogra, cushions and marigold garlands. If there is no swing, the Dohale Jevan Swing Decoration and Mom To Be Swing Decoration bring a decorated swing frame, which needs about a 6-by-6-foot clear area and a ceiling or beam to stand under. Send a photo of the space with your booking and the decorator confirms it fits.

Mogra (jasmine) is the signature, on the swing, in the mom-to-be's hair and as floral jewellery in the fuller setups; marigold frames the backdrop and the doorway; roses and gerberas add colour to the arch; banana leaves and mango-leaf torans mark the entrance. The colours follow the saree, so green with yellow or green with white is the classic. Any design can be made in your family's colours.

Everything shown in the design photo: the swing dressing or decorated swing frame, fresh flowers, the backdrop with the names or Dohale Jevan lettering, marigold torans, cushions and drapes where pictured, damage-free fixing, the decorator's travel, the setup and the clean-up. The green saree, bangles and sweets are the family's; floral jewellery can be added on request, and a baby shower cake or flowers for the hair can go on the same order.

At least a day, because the mogra and marigold are bought fresh on the morning of the ceremony and the swing frame is packed for your space; two to three days for a weekend or a hall booking. Setup takes two to three hours, so choose a slot that finishes at least an hour before the muhurat. Same-day booking is not available for these floral and swing designs.

The price shown includes the decorator's travel within the city and the setup. If your venue is outside the city limits, any additional travel charge is shown during booking before you pay, not added on the day.
