Every caricature on Giftlaya is hand-illustrated by our in-house artists. We don't use AI filters or pre-made templates. Our artists study your uploaded photo, apply the theme you've selected, and create an original caricature that actually resembles the person. This is why the final result looks distinctly like your friend, partner, or family member — not a generic cartoon avatar.

A clear, well-lit, front-facing photo works best — ideally where the face occupies a good portion of the frame and features are clearly visible. Avoid heavily filtered selfies, group shots where the person is small, or photos with harsh shadows. For couple or family caricatures, individual clear photos of each person usually give better results than one group photo where features are hard to see.

Yes — we share a digital preview of your caricature before printing, and you can request 1–2 rounds of revisions. If something doesn't look quite right — hair, skin tone, outfit, expression — let our team know and we'll adjust. We only proceed to print and dispatch once you approve the preview.

Standard turnaround is 5–7 business days — that includes artwork creation, your preview and approval, printing/framing, and delivery. For urgent orders (birthday or anniversary coming up), we offer expedited production on request. We recommend placing orders at least 7–10 days before the actual occasion to leave room for revisions.
